Pollard and I flashing the K W, a hand gesture popular with the fixie gangs of the island. Word life. I almost decided not to write a post, but only a really, really long title; but alas, I cannot insert photos into the title area; and what would a KWVelo post without photos be like? I'll … Continue reading Piers and Beers II (last week!) not to be confused with two weeks ago or tonight! (ha! all that was written over a week ago, so 2 is three and stuff)

Piers and Beers
There's a jolly group of us who frequently embark upon late night rides we call "pier tours." We tend to ride to a bunch of piers, beaches, lanes and generally have some fun just pedaling around with lose goals of where to go. A few weeks ago we decided to make it kind of official … Continue reading Piers and Beers
more exciting coca-cola crate pictures
Cookies! I took this while camping at Burlingame State Park in Rhode Island and commuting to the beaches every morning. As seen here, the crates work quite well to carry an assortment of beach sundries including cookies. I really like cookies! The cool thing about camping here is Blue Shutters beach and miles of preserved … Continue reading more exciting coca-cola crate pictures
sometimes it’s a really good idea to totally ignore what mom tells you to do!
I really wish i remembered this gentleman's name. He arrived at the shop with his seat mounted to a wooden dowel on his bicycle because he needed a new seat post! The dowel was his only available alternative to walking. Well done! As awesomely great as that story was, it was only a small part … Continue reading sometimes it’s a really good idea to totally ignore what mom tells you to do!

The Soilder Ride
A large group of cyclists from the Soldier Ride passed through Key West a few weeks ago. The … Continue reading The Soilder Ride
Fundraiser for Moe Kempa, over $3,000 raised!
The fundraiser at Stay Fit Studios was a full house and brought in over $3,000! I stopped by for about an hour to donate some money and jump on a bike for my first spin class. I was a sweaty mess! A projector was set up to show photos of the ride on a screen … Continue reading Fundraiser for Moe Kempa, over $3,000 raised!

a chopper, a pennyfarthing and a fixie walk into a bar
This has been a common sight the last few days around the island at various bars and houses. Scott rides the chopper he built. Dave has been rocking the pennyfarthing, which also doubles as a bike rack when not moving. I got the rack and lights. never a dull moment in Key Wierd.
