Glacier NP to Seattle to San Francisco 2014

Kerry riding Snufflepuff, Chilly riding Bucci Esperanza and Terrance the Triceratops escaped Key Weird for a few months and went for a bicycle ride with mountains, cliffs and pounding surf! Planes and trains brought us to East Glacier, Montana. The next morning we mounted our steeds and began our adventure pedaling over the Continental Divide on the Going to the Sun Road through Glacier National Park. We made our way west on a mix of paved roads, dirt roads, highways, interstates, gravel roads, single track, sand and railroad ballast, yes….railroad ballast….while connecting several different rails-to-trails paths. Wooohaaaa!

When we eventually reached Seattle and the not so bicycle friendly Pacific Ocean, we hung a left and pedaled down the Washington, Oregon and Northern California coasts to San Francisco. We saw redwoods, ate lots of smoked fish and fresh oysters and maybe even drank some coffee and fresh beer along the way.
